Instructor

Dr. Liz Nutter, CNM, DNP, FACNM is a proven nursing leader with more than 20 of nursing and healthcare leadership experience. She is a board-Certified Nurse Midwife, a fellow in the American College of Nurse-Midwives and is recognized as a national expert in waterbirth and hydrotherapy evidence-based practice. She served in the United States Army and retired in 2021 as a Lieutenant Colonel.  She completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University, Kentucky in 2013. The focus of her doctoral work is waterbirth. She has numerous peer-reviewed articles and multiple book chapters published on waterbirth. She is the co-author of the American College of Nurse Midwives Model Practice Template for Hydrotherapy in Labor and Birth.
